Sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and softened.Meanwhile make spice rub: in a small bowl fully combine black flakey salt, cardamom, allspice, black pepper, garlic powder and salt. Set aside.Lightly oil steaks, then season generously with spice rub.In a cast iron skillet preheated over medium high, add oil (enough to coat the bottom), then immediately place seasoned steaks in the hot skillet. Sear, undisturbed for 2 minutes each side. Remove from the skillet and allow them to rest at least 10 minutes. Once they’ve rested, slice into thin strips. To prepare the greens, place the arugula in a medium size mixing bowl, drizzle on the balsamic and add grated Parmesan cheese to your liking. Toss to combine and set aside. To prepare the horseradish sauce, in a small mixing bowl, stir sour cream, horseradish, vinegar, salt, pepper and chives together. Set aside.Slice bread in half with a serrated knife. Lightly toast, then spread the horseradish sauce onto one side, add caramelized onions, steak strips and cheese of your choice. Melt cheese with a culinary blow torch or quickly place under the broiler to melt. Just for a couple seconds so your meat doesn’t cook further. Next, pile on dressed arugula and top with bread and enjoy!Did you make this recipe?Tag @thegoldenbalance on instagram and hashtag it #thegoldenbalance meatsandwich Leena Ahmed
