HEALTHY BEEF SHAWARMA May 28 Written By Eleanor Debel PrintHEALTHY BEEF SHAWARMA Yield 2-4Prep time10 MinCook time10 MinTotal time20 MinIngredientsShawarma Spices:¼ tsp Cardamom ⅛ tsp Clove ⅛ tsp Allspice¼ tsp Paprika ¼ tsp Chili powder ¼ tsp Coriander ¼ tsp Cumin Beef:1 ½ lbs thinly cut lean beef ½ cup beef stock 1 tsp kosher salt (or more to taste)½ tsp pomegranate molasses White Sauce:1/2 cup non-fat yogurt2 Tbsp low fat sour cream2 Tbsp low fat mayonnaise1 Tbsp white vinegar1 tsp dried parsley1 tsp sazon1 lemon, juicedTo Assemble:Low calorie high protein tortillas Pickled or fresh thinly sliced onion Fresh tomato slices Thinly sliced pickles White sauce and hot chili paste for serving InstructionsCombine all the spices for the shawarma in a small bowl and set aside. Place a large saute pan over medium high heat and add in the thinly sliced beef in one even layer. Let cook for 2-3 minutes to start browning then sprinkle with the shawarma spices and stir to combine. Let cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is cooked through and browned. Remove the beef to a plate or bowl and set aside to assembleCombine all the ingredients for the white sauce and transfer to a squeeze bottle.
