STEAK SLIDERS VS. NICK Sep 19 Written By Eleanor Debel https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tkEMP-nzHYo PrintSTEAK SLIDERSYield 4Prep time10 MinCook time45 MinTotal time55 MinIngredientsCarmelized Onions:2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced 1 tbsp olive oil Shredded Sirloin:1 lb shredded sirloin steak (frozen or fresh) 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce ¼ tsp salt ¼ tsp black pepper ¼ tsp garlic powder 2 Tbsp Grass-fed butter Chipotle mayo:1 tsp Chipotle in adobo sauce (not the peppers, save for another use) 3 Tbsp Mayo 1 tsp Honey Dipping sauce:1 Tbsp horseradish mustard ¼ cup sour cream 1 clove garlic, grated on a microplane 1 tsp Hot sauce, or more to taste To Assemble:4 slices pepper jack cheese 1 package sweet Hawaiian buns, kept intact and sliced lengthwise InstructionsPreheat your oven to 400F In a skillet, add the sliced yellow onions along with a drizzle of olive oil or cooking spray and set over medium-low heat. Stirring occasionally, caramelize the onions until golden and nearly melted, about 45 minutes. (if you need to speed up the process, increase the heat sightly and add a little water to the pan when the onions begin to sizzle to help them break down faster) In another large skillet add the shredded sirloin and a light spray of cooking oil. Cook over medium-high heat until the meat begins to brown, then stir in the worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors then add in the butter and cook 1 more minute to melt and bring everything together. In a small bowl, stir together the chipotle sauce, mayo and honey. In another small bowl stir together the horseradish mustard, sour cream, garlic and hot sauce. Toast the sliced buns under a broiler for 1 minute or in the oven for 2-3 minutes until golden and toasty. Spread the cooked meat in an even layer over the bottom portion of buns, spread the caramelized onions over top, drizzle the chipotle mayo over top, arrange the cheese slices in an even layer on top then top with the other side of the buns.
