TOMATO BURGER Sep 8 Written By Eleanor Debel PrintTOMATO BURGERYield 1Prep time10 MinCook time8 MinTotal time18 MinIngredients1 large beefsteak tomato, cut into ½ inch thick rounds ½ lb 80/20 ground beef 2 slices american cheese 1 Tbsp seasoning salt or your favorite seasoning blend InstructionsSeason two of the largest tomato slices with a sprinkle of salt on each side, set aside. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and spray with a light coating of cooking oil. Divide the ground beef into two 4 ounce balls. Place the balls into the hot skillet and smash with a heavy spatula or weighted press. Season with the tbsp of seasoning salt or blend and let cook for about 2 minutes. Flip the patties and top each one with a piece of cheese. Let cook another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is fully melted then stack the patties on top of eachother and remove from the pan. Layer one seasoned tomato slice on the bottom, top with the double patty with cheese, top with another tomato slice and enjoy.
