MY WAY TO COOK SALMON

Ingredients

Salmon:

  • 6 oz Atlantic Salmon

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 2 Tbsp butter

Seasoning mixture:

(or 3 teaspoons of your preferred seasoning)

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp low sodium lemon pepper

 

Directions

Step 1

Salt salmon all over the filet. Heat a cast iron or stainless steel pan to medium high heat, add olive oil.

Step 2

Place salmon in the pan, skin-side down and sear on the bottom, about 4 minutes. Flip salmon. Immediately lower heat and add butter.

Step 3

Once butter is melted add combined seasoning mixture. Continue to cook, occasionally using a spoon to baste the salmon with seasoned butter, until the salmon is cooked through, about 4 minutes more. Enjoy with your favorite vegetables, pasta, rice, or all by itself!
