CHIK FIL A NUGGETS
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb chicken tender breast, cubed
2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup pickle juice
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp salt
Breading:
1 cup corn or potato starch
1 cup flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp salt
Directions
Step 1
Start by placing your chicken in a large bowl and adding buttermilk, pickle juice, garlic powder, paprika and salt. Combine to coat chicken. Marinate for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 2
While the chicken marinades, combine the starch, flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess, toss the chicken in the dry batter, coating each piece completely.
Step 4
Fry in oil preheated to 365 F for 3 to 5 minutes. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the oil. Remove chicken to a wire rack to drain. Season with salt and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
