Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye, cut into 2 inch chunks

    Cajun rub:

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp smoked cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

    Sauce:

  • 1 chili of choice, chopped small

  • 1/2 shallot, chopped small

  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 Tbsp honey

  • 1/2 lemon, zest and juice

    Garnish:
    parsley, chopped

  • cilantro, chopped

  • Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

Step 1

Make Cajun rub in a small bowl by fully combining cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked cayenne and salt. Then sprinkle onto ribeye. Toss until fully coated.

Step 2

Heat a heavy bottom skillet on high, add about 1 Tbsp of oil to the pan and then the steak. Fry for just a couple seconds on each side, just until browned. Remove steak, and reserve beef fat in the pan.

Step 3

Lower heat to medium. To the same pan, add chili, shallot, garlic, and more Cajun seasoning to taste. Stir, then add cooked beef chunks. Toss until fully coated.

Step 4

Finish with lemon zest, lemon juice and optional garnish to your liking. Enjoy!
