CHICKEN FAJITA SIZZLER

Ingredients


Fajita Chicken: 

  • 2 tsp chili powder 

  • 2 tsp paprika 

  • 2 tsp garlic powder 

  • 1 tsp coriander 

  • 1 tsp dried oregano 

  • 1 tsp black pepper 

  • Salt to taste 

  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced 

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil 

Sizzle Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire 

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce 

  • 1 tsp liquid smoke 

  • 1 white onion, sliced 

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

For Serving:

  • Flour tortillas

  • Guacamole

  • Sliced avocado

  • Salsa

  • sour cream

  • shredded cheese

  • pickled jalapeños

 

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the spice blend in a small bowl by mixing the chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, coriander, oregano, black pepper, salt, and set aside. Prepare the Sizzle Sauce by adding all of the ingredients in a plastic squeeze bottle and giving it a shake. Set aside.

Step 2

Place the chicken in a large bowl, drizzle on the olive oil, pour in the spice blend and massage until the chicken is fully coated. Heat a large skillet over high heat, once hot add the chicken.

Step 3

Cook the chicken over high heat for 6-8 minutes, then remove the chicken from the pan onto a plate and set aside. Add the onions and bell pepper to that same pan while it’s still hot and return to medium heat. Splash in the Sizzle Sauce to deglaze the pan. Stir while scraping the bottom of the pan incorporating all of that extra flavor.  Add some extra Fajita Spice Blend to your liking, give it a stir, then add the garlic and cooked chicken (don’t forget to add the juice that was released while it was resting).

Step 4

To serve, put a separate cast iron skillet, place it on high heat.  Add the chicken fajita mixture to the screaming hot skillet. Serve the fajita chicken with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings
