BBLT (BEEF BACON LETTUCE TOMATO) SANDWICH

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 slices of beef bacon

  • 8-10 Tbsp mayonnaise 

  • 3-4 Tbsp Chipotle peppers in adobe sauce, chopped

  • 2 slices thick slices sourdough bread

  • 2-4 pieces green leaf lettuce

  • 1 ripe tomato

  • salt and pepper

 

Directions

Step 1

Start by placing bacon into a cold pan.  Turn up to medium heat.  Cook for 3-4 minutes each side. 

Step 2

While the bacon is cooking, prepare your sandwich spread by mixing the mayo and chipotle peppers in a small bowl until full combined, set aside.

Step 3

Once bacon is done, remove from the pan, keeping the beef bacon fat in the pan.  Keep the heat on medium high.  Place the bread in the skillet and toast for 2 minutes both sides.  Don’t overdo it!  You only want bread lightly toasted. 

Step 4

Wash and dry your green leaf lettuce and slice your tomato into slices that are about 3/8 inch thick. Now you’re ready to assemble!


Step 5

Take one slice of toasted bread, spread chipotle mayonnaise on bread.  Next stack lettuce, then 2 slices of tomato. Sprinkle with salt and pepper (or other desired seasoning).  Stack 2-3 slices of bacon, then the other slice of toasted bread.  Gently press down and use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich in half.
