Pulse till evenly combined. Add the ground beef to the herb mixture and pulse till everything is cohesive and smooth.Split open the loaf of bread lengthwise only on one side to open it up like a book but keep one side intact. Layer on thick slices of cheese and then press all the meat mixture over the entire surface of the bread to encase the cheese and seal the meat to the bread.Heat a large grill pan or cast iron skillet over high heat, once smoking place the bread boat meat side down to sear. Cook undisturbed until golden brown, about 5 minutes.Transfer the bread to a sheet tray and bake in the oven for another 8-10 minutes until toasted and fully cooked.
